Association des Tour Operateurs et Agences de Voyage en RDC (ATOAV-RDC) is a Congolese Travel and tourism association, aiming to promoting professionalism and responsible tourism with the intent of making the DRC the best tourist destination in the world.

Mission

• To protect members' interests through advocacy and facilitate their access to national and international tourism markets
• To continually maintain a platform to establish guidelines, rules, operating mechanisms for tour operators and travel agencies to ensure quality service to customers
• To contribute to the protection of the environment, preservation of cultures and the economic rehabilitation of local populations through responsible tourism

Objectives

• Source and disseminate essential information for the development of tourism in the Democratic Republic of Congo;
• Introduce our members to governmental and non-governmental institutions, the private sector federation, regional and international fairs, and affiliate travel web sites;
• Capacity building of our members in the field of tourism and travel;
• Create professional training and information centers in the tourism sector to provide quality service at international standards;
• Facilitate the development and promotion of tourism services and products as part of a regional sustainable tourism policy;
• Defend the interests of our members;
• Develop privileged relations between members;
• Improve cooperation between different types of tourism stakeholders inside and outside the DRC;
• To enforce the deontology and ethics in the tourism sector;
• Contribute to the achievement of Millennium Development Goals through ATOAV-RDC social economic projects;
• Contribute to the protection of tourist protected areas through their rehabilitation and the implementation of development projects for the well-being of the neighboring population;
• Establish tourist information offices in cities and at the borders (land, airport or seaport) across the DRC.
